We are on a mission to modernise how cooperative housing societies in India run — replacing paper registers, WhatsApp chaos, and Excel spreadsheets with a single, secure, cloud-native platform built for the 21st century.
Our Story
Born from real society pain
SWA Society was born out of a simple frustration: managing a cooperative housing society in India in 2024 is still done with paper ledgers, WhatsApp groups, and manual Excel sheets. Committee members spend hours reconciling bills, chasing dues, and arguing over account books — time that could be spent building community.
We set out to change that. Our team of engineers, chartered accountants, and ex-committee members came together to build a platform that handles the boring parts of society management automatically — so committees can focus on what matters: making their society a better place to live.
Today, SWA Society powers billing, accounting, collections, resident communication, and compliance for 450+ cooperative housing societies across India — from 10-unit boutique CHS to enterprise groups managing hundreds of flats.
We are proud to be one of the few platforms in India that runs a true double-entry accounting system purpose-built for the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act — not a generic accounting software repurposed for societies.

Early 2024
The Idea
After spending hours reconciling a Mumbai CHS's books by hand, our founders realised the problem was universal — and solvable with modern software.
Mid 2024
First Line of Code
We built the first version of the double-entry accounting engine, general ledger, and billing sessions. Tested extensively with three pilot societies.
Late 2024
Public Launch
SWA Society opened to all cooperative housing societies in India. First 50 societies onboarded within 90 days — all through word-of-mouth referrals.
Early 2025
Multi-Society SaaS
Launched subdomain-based multi-society architecture — each society gets isolated data, custom branding, and its own subdomain. Unlocked management companies as a customer segment.
Mid 2025
Payment Gateway Integration
Integrated Razorpay and Stripe for online UPI/card/net-banking payments. Residents could now pay maintenance directly from their portal, with instant reconciliation.

450+ Societies Strong
We now power billing, accounting, collections, resident communication, helpdesk, and amenity booking for 450+ societies across 12 Indian states. And we're just getting started.
